Since 1996 Samling Institute for Young Artists has transformed the lives of hundreds of talented young musicians through two unique and interlinked training programmes.
World-renowned opera singers, song specialists, accompanists, coaches and actors share their experience and knowledge with early-career singers and pianists on our residential Samling Artist Programme, and through our Samling Academy, they coach younger singers who are growing up or studying in North East England.
There are now over 350 graduates of our Samling Artist Programme who can be seen delighting audiences in the world’s finest opera houses and concert halls and on award-winning recordings. In a virtuous circle of excellence they also return to us as leaders on both programmes. Following in their footsteps, Samling Academy Singers regularly win scholarships to major conservatoires and progress to professional singing careers.
